A counter's whole system, on one phone

OotaOS Lite is the small end of the restaurant platform, built for stalls, tiffin rooms and single-counter eateries in India. There is no email address and no password to remember: the mobile number is the account and a one-time SMS code is the sign-in. The whole thing runs from a phone.

A QR sticker on the counter opens the menu on the customer's own phone. Payments are UPI or cash, and a UPI payment is matched automatically against the bank SMS that confirms it, so nobody has to check a banking app between orders. AI menu scanning turns a photograph of an existing menu card into structured items the owner reviews before they go live. Lite is billed per order rather than as a fixed monthly subscription.

Lite is priced for the size of business it serves: billing is per order, so a slow week costs less than a busy one and there is no fixed monthly fee to carry through a quiet season. Everything it does, it does from the phone already in the owner's pocket — taking the order, confirming the payment and keeping the menu current.
